Ongoing Activities:

  • Mindfulness Meditation Sitting Group
    Day/Time: Thursday Evenings, 7:00-8:15pm
    Location: Unitarian Society of New Haven (Room 102), 700 Hartford Turnpike, Hamden, CT (click here for directions)

    A weekly, drop-in sitting group, free of charge and open to the public (beginners particularly welcome). The format usually includes a 30 minute period of breathing meditation followed by a short reading (usually from a contemporary Buddhist teacher) with facilitated discussion to relate the reading to one's own meditation practice. For more information, please contact us, or just drop in.

  • Meditation Hour
    Yale University's Learning Center offers an informal lunchtime meditation that is open to members of the Yale community and the public.

  • Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation Workshop - October 15th, 22th, 29th, 2006
    A 3-session introductory course in mindfulness meditation intended for those with no previous meditation experience.

  • Change Your Mind Day - New Haven - Saturday, June 3th, 2006
    An annual event held in dozens of cities across the globe (usually on a Saturday in the beginning of June) that offers an afternoon of meditation, inspirational talks and practices from a variety of Buddhist traditions.
